The Original cast at the press launch yesterday
Funnily enough my last post about Steve Martin has today been proven as prophetic; Fox have announced that there is, indeed, a Fawlty Towers movie being made this summer for an X-Mas 2012 release.
The casting has been revealed in the press statement:
Steve Martin as Basil Fawlty
Goldie Hawn as Cybil Fawlty
Russel Brand as Manuel
Rhianna as Polly Sherman
and
Ray Winstone as Major Gowan
It is to be directed by Guy Richie
They say that truth is stranger than fiction
