With the current Exhibition of Leonardo DaVinci's works in London, and the interest in his two versions of Virgin on the rock, some might ask why he is so highly revered as an artist. I'll let some of his work answer that question.
Although he lived between 1452 and 1519 there is something quite contemporary about his work, here are just some examples.
