The Stranglers came up with this quirky song that was unlike most of their material; making it a hit that has been performed often, due in part to its melodic quality. It is an unusual pop song but none the less memorable. It has been covered on record a couple of times and , inevitably, sampled. It's message; ambivelent at best.
