BATMAN : TV
The 1960's TV Batman was a million miles away from the Dark Knight of later vintage. In fact they earliest Batman Comics were uni formally dark and the sixties TV show captured a bit of the zeitgeist of the times. One thing was noticeable about the show was that stars were falling over themselves to appear in it.Such kitsch icons like Liberace, Eartha Kitt and Zsa Zsa Gabor appeared as did serious stars like Otto Preminger, Van Johnson, Vincent Price, Shelley Winters and Roddy McDowell. I find that there is great fun to be had looking at some of the stars who appeared and some of the off screen goings on around Batman the TV show; here are some pictures of the Batman gang.
