Albert Uderzo the French co creator, with *Rene Goscinny, of Asterix bought his talent to the Comic book with a great eye for architecture and history, this complemented the characterisations of the many characters in the Asterix books. His drawings featured numerous historical and literary in-jokes which appealed to adults and children alike.
